I am super excited to announce my latest achievement!
Last week, I was awarded my second Fellowship with the BIPP, where I presented my Encaustic range in the ‘Visual Arts’ category. It was titled ‘Equus Freedom’, which accurately describes the way I feel when creating these pieces.
This collection was inspired by ancient cave art I was lucky enough to see on my travels to the Australian Outback as a teenager. It is really special to me- it’s been a real landmark in my transition into experimenting with mixed media.
Check out the collection below…
My latest work has featured a lot of encaustic art. My Encaustic series was the first collection where I began to get really creative using alternative materials. I trawled through the thousands of fine art images stored on my archives, and shortlisted images that often didn’t make the final cut for previous collections…I like to think of it as recycling!
