Another element of my exhibit was my mini-series. I carefully selected some of my most gorgeous images, and created a special miniature framed series. These work really well together when a larger selection is hung together on one wall.

The process behind creating enaustic art is fascinating as it really changes an image. This original image did was not strong enough to stand alone, but the effect is amazing and it speaks volumes. There’s something very dreamy about this image. £295 (12 inch print).
Perhaps one of my most classic shots, the Rearing Horse. This was taken in California in 2014. A moment of seeming-calm before this stallion pranced back into a powerful gallop. You can really feel his power through this image… perhaps the ideal gift for someone who needs empowering! £495 (16 inch print).
The second piece from my Flower Horse series. This horse seems as if he is almost floating as the foliage trails out behind him. This image sits beautifully on its own, or with the rest of the series. £295 (12 inch print).

As an art enthusiast myself, I understand how long it can take to choose the perfect artwork for your home.
And why shouldn’t it? After all, it is likely going to be something you’ll spend many years admiring and showing off to your family and friends!
So, I have put together a little list of factors to consider when choosing your art…
1. Don’t be shy and take your time
In the words of Johnson-Chyzhykov, “If you’re not experienced in the art world, it can be intimidating to enter and not know where to start,”. If you haven’t bought art for you home before, don’t panic! Just take your time, browse carefully and admire work that really takes your interest.
Don’t fall into the trap of buying something just because a highly followed art buyer says this is the most trendy and up-and-coming artist of today… buy something you love!
2. Get to know the artist
If you get to know the artist, you start to understand the content of the work and the story behind the pieces themselves. I feel like you probably have a pretty good understanding of me as a creator by now, but if you want to see more of my life and creative processes, check me out on Instagram or Facebook to get a glimpse of the real day-to-day activities of an artist!
3. Consider a contemporary piece for a traditional space- and vice versa.
People often make the mistake of thinking that contemporary art will only fit in a contemporary space. This is not true! Putting modern art in your Victorian home shakes things up a bit and adds real visual interest to your home. In a similar way, the soft tones of slow shutter shots can soften any modern space and create a homely place for you to relax.
Be bold and start to mix periods and styles…why not give it a try yourself!
4. You CAN buy art on a budget…
Did you know that all my artwork is available to purchase as an unframed print? You can source a frame yourself to cut the cost of a beautiful limited edition piece to decorate your home.
However, an important thing to remember is to make sure that any mounts touching the actual artwork are acid-free. Acidic mounts found in budget ready-made frames can quickly deteriorate or discolour your artwork, so watch out!
5. Don’t ponder too long…
If your heart leaps at the sight of a piece, don’t hesitate, or you could miss out. All my pieces are limited edition, which means once they’re gone, they’re gone! Always go with your heart and invest in something you love.
I know I’ve missed out on buying art I loved in the past and it still plays on my mind today!

I have been super busy recently, working away in my studio in preparation for something very exciting… On 21st and 22nd October 2017, I will be exhibiting my work at the Parallax Art Fair in London!
I have spent the last few months carefully selecting a very special collection of images that I can’t wait to share with the fair’s art-lovers and artists alike.
Parallax is Europe’s largest independent art fair, where I will be exhibiting amongst over 200 creative entrepreneurs from all around the globe, displaying work including painting, sculpture, textiles and art photography.
It is held in the stunning Chelsea Town Hall on the Kings Road- the perfect venue, packed with history, charm and character.
This is the perfect weekend for any art enthusiast, and what’s unique about this fair is that entry is completely free… so there’s no excuse for you to not pop by and say hello!

I have been completely overwhelmed by the natural beauty of my surroundings this year, here at home in the New Forest. In particular, I have been blown away by the allure of the flowers; both in the garden and the wild flowers growing across the countryside.
The delicate texture of the tiny petals really puts life into perspective. It’s amazing how something so tiny and precious plays such a key role in the life of other living things.
My vegetable patch kept me both busy and inspired over the summer months. There is something very satisfying about growing your own fresh veg, from a tiny seed to a healthy, happy plant. I can totally understand why some people decide to become self-sufficient….how amazing nature is. From plant to plate…. I still can’t get over how vivid the colour of that veg is!
I’ve spent some time getting inspiration from various artists who use flowers as the basis of their work. Someone who really stands out to me is Texas-based artist, Ysabel LeMay.
She uses a fascinating technique, where she takes hundreds of intricate photos of flowers, plants, foliage and creatures, then extracts elements of these photos and layers the fragments together too create amazing artistic masterpieces….Amazing!
I find the texture and lines produced by foliage and the leaves of plants reminds me hugely of the flowing movement of a horse’s mane in the wind. I constantly like and compare things to horses now. It may seem strange to you, but it means I find inspiration for my work from so many different places!
I feel a project coming…. watch this space!
